Every three months we did special episodes of The Whatnauts Podcast that we called Crunchy Peanut Butter episodes (CPB). This allowed us to cover content that we would not normally complete with our weekly schedule. We could do entire runs of a comic series, an entire tv show that ran for multiple seasons, etc. The same great taste as The Whatnauts Podcast, but covering bigger chunks. Hence crunchy peanut butter.
For the first CPB episode, we covered all of Y The Last Man, a series of graphic novels by Brian K. Vaughn and Pia Guerra. Yorrick Brown and his pet monkey, Ampersand, are the only two male survivors of a plague that has killed off every male in all species of mammal worldwide. They travel across the globe searching for Yorrick’s girlfriend as well as answers as to what caused the plague.
The Whatnauts Podcast was the original podcast that we launched here at The Whatnauts. It was a weekly book club style show covering everything from comics to television shows, movies, anime, and more. Today, The Whatnauts Podcast is now known as The Review Show. We rebooted it, rebranded it, and gave it a nice little spit shine to make it sparkle.
